NEW TOTAL RECALL 2012 MOVIE TRAILER! [PLUS BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS]

I noticed that the Web has been buzzing over the forthcoming remake of the 1990 cult sci fi classic with Arnold Schwarzenegger titled Total Recall, and this year [on August 3, 2012] Colin Farrell is set to reprise that action hero role, and he is going by the familiar screen name of "Doug Quaid". Other actors in the forthcoming movie remake are Kate Beckinsale [Underworld], Jessica Biel [The A-team], Bryan Cranston, John Cho [Flash Forward], and Bill Nighy. Today we'll take a look at wallpapers of Colin, screenshots of the film's police hovercars and futuristic vehicles, and also the robotic police officers in the movie, which almost remind me of the Star Wars Clone Storm troopers.

Perhaps the biggest pull to the new Total Recall 2012 movie is the current rumor about an infamous 3-boobed chick played by actress Kaitlyn Leeb; yes, she has 3 breasts plastered upon her upper torso [see the pic below]. Dating a human / alien woman who has 3 boobs seems to be tied to the twisted fantasy of the movie director Len Wiseman, the guy behind all of the Underworld movies.... and somehow Len has converted his private dream into a big screen reality :)

Check out the latest Total Recall movie trailer over HERE [it will open in a new window] to see a rather censored clip of the busty lady that catches the attention of Colin Farrell.
This blog is full of futuristic vehicle concept designs, and the Total Recall 2012 movie has quite a few ingenious hovercraft vehicles in it. Check out the screenshots & wallpapers below of the sleek sci fi hovercars used in the movie and notice the unique steering wheel, a W-shaped controller:

FEMALE SCI FI / FANTASY CHARACTER CONCEPT DESIGNS - PART 1

Here is a collection of female sci fi characters with futuristic armor costumes. Some of these costumes have a MECH / MECHA flare interwoven into their fabrics, as the fusion of mortal and machine interfaces are applied to the overall concept design. Amongst the sample character designs are female knights, soldiers, magicians / mystics, elves and warriors. Most of these wallpapers and posters are fantasy designs, per the "Dragon Age / World of Warcraft" themes that can be viewed in the armor costume styles. But most of the character poses selected by the artists are universal and quite sexy. Hopefully these images will help aspiring artists, giving them ideas for their own design processes. The names of the digital artists behind these portraits will be presented below, at the end of the article.

FANTASY DRAGONS CONCEPT ART GALLERY!

Over a period of time I've gathered some  designs from several respected digital artists, which I'll showcase in this article. These are designs of dragons and mystical winged creatures that inspire me, since DSNG is an original Sci Fi project tagged as Techpunk [explained over Here], yet it also has Fantasy elements intertwined into it. Sometime ago I wrote a separate article titled "The Difference Between Science Fiction and Fantasy" and you can open it in a new window and check it out, HERE.

Staying on topic, there really is no right way or wrong way to draw a dragon, in terms of "fictional accuracy". The depicted mystical creature will always be tied to the innate style of the concept artist, unless you are utilizing a rigidly established reference form, proposed by your boss or employer. Yet there are certain classic features that cause a winged, fanged, serpentine creature to be viewed as a dragon. Take a close look at the dragon wallpaper samples below and you'll notice that they are all different... yet they're still all alike in terms of their generic features.

10 REASONS WHY FANS LOVE OPTIMUS PRIME [METROPLEX POSTERS INCLUDED]

Optimus Prime represents everything great that a fanboy /fangirl aspires to become. Having debuted back in 1984 with the original Transformers G1 cartoon and toy-line, he is the revered leader of the Autobots, and the uncrowned Last Prime. I've assembled a list of 10 reasons why the TF fans respect him. Some are humorous, while others are insightful....

1. Prime has the fearless heart of a lion. He will always lead the charge against the Decepticons even when his Autobot forces are clearly outnumbered and outgunned. Plus he was created with the color scheme that makes him some sort of Robotic-Captain-America, so Westerners seem to automatically love him.

2. Prime Never gives up. Most fanboys will remember his immortal line from one of the first Transformers 2D cartoon movies: "One shall stand and one shall fall." Those are the words of someone who is willing to battle till their last breath.

4. Prime is a father figure. He seldom gets mad at his associates and subservient soldiers, even when they clearly F***-up, big time.

3. Prime is always willing to sacrifice himself for his friends..... Now this point bothers me, because it is clear that Optimus Prime will often have the tendency to "take one in the chest" for the team. He is so benevolent that he will actually stand in the way of incoming APRs and 30mm Heavy Artillery Shells, so that someone like Bumblebee will survive. Thing is, despite how bad-ass Bumblebee is in the Michael Bay movies with Sam-Wit-Whooty or whatever the hell that kid was named, Bumblebee's survival has nothing to do with the team's overall victory. Bumblebee is not a Prime, so he can't take on Megatron. Bumblebee can't open the Matrix of Leadership in order to "light the darkest hour"; and Bumblebee sure as hell can't awaken the giant robot city known as Metroplex, who is a legendary gigantic Autobot who is bigger than Omega Supreme. And Metroplex is programed to awaken and yield to the call of the Last Prime when needed [his wallpapers are below].

5. Prime has always been voiced by the same guy whenever iconic TF shows / movies / games are on the table. The name of that voice actor is Peter Cullen. Yes, you know him very well...You probably know him by voice, not by his face. You know him every time he speaks, just like you know Kieth David [Goliath from the Gargoyles cartoon].

6. Prime is a faithful robotic man; he is a one-woman-kinda-guy... thus he is traditional, dependable and "loyal to his wife and kids". Unlike Batman who is a renowned PLAYER, Optimus Prime has only had one official girlfriend / love interest since the onset of the Transformers cartoons. And her name is Elita-One [she is shown on the left]. And since we're on the topic of faithfulness to one woman, I dare say that Prime wanted MEGAN FOX to be in the last TF3 movie, just like I did!!

7. Prime has no time to cry over lost Decepticons. He cares for all Cybertronian robots, but he draws the line at caring for his foes, knowing how despicable they truly are.

8. Prime is the only Mack Truck with a trailer that turns into a freakin' battle station and weapons storage unit.

9. Optimus Prime never grows old.... and he seemingly never gets drunk on ENERGON Cubes. Look up that word and you'll see from the cartoon history that it is the true Gatorade of all Transformers, and some have literally been known to overdose on the good stuff, just like cold tempting brewskies.

10. Now I really don't care what religion you believe in; my biggest concern about people is their true character and dependability, as a friend / coworker. And having said that, most Christians know that Optimus Prime is one of the few heroes to ever die and later be raised from the dead [both in the movies and the cartoons], in order to save his goddamn robotic people... Now it doesn't get much more Iconic than that!!

SPACECRAFTS, SPACESHIPS AND STEAMPUNK CRUISERS - PART 4

I recently stumbled upon the works of an artist at DA known as Karanak. He is a Russian guy named Alexey, extremely talented; his DA page is over HERE. Karanak is really good at using 3D software to model futuristic spaceships and battle cruisers. And a lot of his concepts look like they belong within the grand setting of a galaxy like Star Wars. For some strange reason, the Star Trek spaceships have never been as fascinating as those utilized in Star Wars.... not sure why, its just an observation. BTW, Season 5 of the 3D animated Series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be coming out this fall, sometime in August. I don't really keep up with that cartoon, but those who enjoy light-saber battles will probably like it.

Anyway, check out these cool spaceship and sci fi jet fighter designs! You'll note that Alexey actually chose peculiar names for them: The Lion, The Lynx, The Raven, The Tiger, The Falcon etc. These designs were done for the online game called Star Conflict.

FEMALE MECHA ROBOT DESIGN - VOLSPINA [FROM GODANNAR ANIME!]

Those of you familiar with various giant-robot animes know that there are a few female giant mechas, such as the fem-robots in the Shinkon Gattai Goddanner anime series that was launched back in 2003 / 2004 in Japan.
The series stars  Goh [pilot of the male Dannar robot] and Anna [pilot of the female Neo-Okusaer & Go-Okusaer robots] and those two characters get married.... although Anna is about 15 / 16 years old at the time, thus making fans wonder if her husband is a damn pedophile. Anna mother is the sexy & sultry Dr. Kiriko Aoi, who is voiced by Laura Chapman in the EnGRish versions of the anime series. BTW Laura is one of my fav female voice actors, per the deep sultry and often comical nature of her voice. Beyond its abundant fan service, this anime series actually had a strong emotional vibe, and it even had points that were tear-jerkers. Yet it was definitely entertaining from start to finish, and the art style of renowned artist/animator Yasuchika Nagaoka is truly unforgettable.
Anyway, Season 1 & 2 of the Godannar series are available on DVD at most online retail outlets, so you can grab them anytime you feel the urge for a comedic and action-packed sci fi adventure. My focus in this blog article is to showcase Volspina, one of the female Mecha-robot good guys in the anime, and we'll get to her soon.

Anna's voluptuous redhead mother [Dr. Aoi Kiriko] is a very strong-willed female protagonist and yet she is also a Milf, per her busty character design and "Jessica Rabbit mannerisms" [And you should check out a real-life Cosplay of the classic cartoon vixen Jessica Rabbit over Here!]. Kiriko usually helps on the missions by giving commands within the main bridge of the spaceship that serves as a mobile base for the good guys. And she is fond of bossing around her son-in-law, Goh Saruwatari... and she has no problem with putting him in a "face planting bosom headlock" whenever he gets on her nerves.

Now lets move on to the infamous busty giant robot.
This is Volspina, one of the fem-robots from the Godannar anime. She is made up of two robotic parts; and her two pilots are the Russian lady in the skimpy purple bodysuit named Ekaterina [the leader] and Kurachyov [her subservient male assistant]. Not sure how the Japanese animation designers did it, but they actually make Volspina's large breasts jiggle whenever she springs into action [despite the fact that they should be made of solid metal].
